Wish Upon a Wedding is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organization that provides weddings and vow renewals to couples facing terminal illness or other serious life-altering circumstances, regardless of sexual orientation. Often, couples facing such situations do not have the energy, time, money, or resources needed to plan their wedding. Their organization takes care of all the details, offering couples a chance to relax and enjoy a very special day while surrounded by the love of their closest family and friends.

By celebrating the courage & spirit of these couples, they help create lasting memories that will be cherished for years to come. It is our wish to instill a sense of hope and strength in other couples who may be facing similar situations.

Wish Upon A Wedding officially launched in January of 2010.  Liz Guthrie is the Founder and Executive Director of Wish Upon a Wedding.  The idea to start a nonprofit wish granting organization came to her when she was producing a large scale wedding giveaway in San Francisco in 2009. Over 350 couples entered to win a contest where there could only be one winner. With so many couples in need, she found herself wishing there was a way to donate a dream wedding to more than just one deserving pair.

Dedicated to providing weddings and vow renewal celebrations for couples facing terminal illness and serious life-altering circumstances, regardless of sexual orientation, they grant one of the most profound moments in a couple's lifetime. It is her (Liz's) hope that through various media outlets, they (WUW) can also raise awareness about the many life-threatening diseases that impact so many thousands of lives every day.

What better way to celebrate life than being surrounded by one's family and loved ones, while creating memories for those family and loved ones that will be cherished for years to come? By bringing these ceremonies to individuals faced with terminal illnesses, Wish Upon A Wedding believes that other people facing similar situations will find their own sense of strength and hope.

Li'l Inspirations is proud to have been selected as their 'Signature Gift' for every couple's wish. We create custom made wedding hankies for the couple with the Wish Upon A Wedding logo and a special sentiment the couple wishes to have embroidered on their handkerchiefs.
